Two volunteers who help keep the Poway Center for the Performing Arts running are filling its lobby walls with their own art through Oct. 25.

Linda Maciag, a painter who works in oil, watercolor and pastels, and Leslie Joseph, a photographer drawn to sunsets, wildlife and landscapes, are the featured artists in the PCPA's free "October Art Spotlight" exhibit at 15498 Espola Road in Poway.

The show opened Sept. 23 and runs through Oct. 25, according to the PCPA's announcement. The center is normally closed Sundays, so visitors planning to go on the Oct. 25 closing date should call ahead or check powaycenter.com to confirm hours.

Maciag's pieces range across portraits, landscapes and plants and animals. Joseph focuses her camera on animal portraits at the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park, flowers and natural scenery.

The PCPA said it is grateful for the volunteer work both artists provide and is delighted to share their talents with patrons.

Hours, parking and contact

The exhibit is open Tuesday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 1 to 6 p.m. The PCPA is closed Sundays, Mondays and major holidays. Scheduled matinee and evening performances may change exhibit hours.

Parking is free, but weekday visitors Tuesday through Friday need a parking pass. To get one, pull into the green-and-yellow loading zone curb outside the glass lobby doors on Titan Way, enter the lobby and stop at the PCPA office to the left. Staff will issue a temporary pass for the lot behind the theater.

The PCPA box office can be reached at 858-668-4696.
