Rancho Bernardo will crown its first adult pageant winners in February, expanding a scholarship program that serves the community's teens.

The inaugural Ms. Rancho Bernardo and Ms. Elite Rancho Bernardo competition is set for Feb. 6, 2027, at the Country Club of Rancho Bernardo, the San Diego Union-Tribune first reported. The two new titleholders will serve alongside the existing Miss Rancho Bernardo court, which currently includes teen ambassadors such as 2026 Miss Rancho Bernardo Jovanna Windsor.

Women ages 23 and older who live, work or volunteer in Rancho Bernardo are eligible to compete.

An interest mixer for prospective contestants is scheduled for 6 p.m. Nov. 12 at The Shop, 11967 Bernardo Plaza Drive. Attendees will learn about both titles, the competition format, fundraising requirements and titleholder opportunities. Those interested must RSVP through the interest form at missrb.com.

The competition awards two separate titles. The Ms. Rancho Bernardo crown goes to the winner of a full pageant judged on speech, interview, cocktail attire, an impromptu question, evening attire, poise and personality. The Ms. Elite Rancho Bernardo title goes to the contestant who raises the most money for the Miss Rancho Bernardo Scholarship Program (MRSP). Ms. Elite contestants are encouraged to participate in the pageant portion but are not required to, pageant officials told the Union-Tribune.

Fundraising plays a central role. Twenty percent of money each contestant raises will benefit a charity of her choice, according to pageant officials. The MRSP funds educational scholarships and community service opportunities for young women in Rancho Bernardo.

Pageant director Camille Reyno told the Union-Tribune that each contestant will raise money for a cause she cares about while supporting the scholarship program's mission of investing in the next generation of community leaders.

Registration requires a $50 non-refundable fee plus a $300 entry fee. The fee covers both titles.

Residents interested in competing can join the interest list at missrb.com or email Reyno at [email protected].
